Forgotten moments of a memorable life
My memory is shot. There are gaps every where I look, and I can’t fully understand how I got here. I run into people that I believe I’ve met before – but I have no accessible memory.
To help me rebuild my memory, my idea is to write album reviews that will relate to a year of my life, 1958 until today.
The reviews may be more about me than the music. It’s mostly to help me keep track of a life that has taken turns I did not expect.
I think that every year had great albums, and I will try and highlight them, but the greatness of the album won’t be what drives my choice. (see Green Onions for example) Sometimes the albums will be stunning, sometimes shocking, there are the albums I heard, or didn’t hear until recently, but they will be a soundtrack for me to rebuild a memory.
